Short a few points to earn your Southwest Companion Pass? You can earn 1,000 bonus Southwest points.
You’ll get 1,000 bonus points when you spend $1,000 at restaurants, drugstores, and home improvement stores through October 31, 2021.
These are extra points in addition to the 3X points on dining you earn with your Southwest credit cards.
Registration is required. So check your email for the subject line “(your name), earn 1,000 bonus points easy.” Or sign in to your Southwest account and check your offers.
You don’t have to spend $1,000 on one purchase. You can make multiple purchases. Nor do you have to only spend in one category.
As long as your total combined spending on the selected categories total $1,000 you’ll earn 1,000 points.
Bonus points will count towards earning your Southwest Companion Pass. But will not count towards A-List or A-List Preferred status. Points will post up to 8 weeks after the promotion has ended.
The maximum bonus points you’ll earn is 1,000 points and is limited to one Southwest Rapid Rewards account. This is offer is not available on Southwest business cards.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best card for beginning travel hackers. It is the first card you should get to start traveling for free because the welcome offer is 100,000 points after spending $4,000 in the first three months.
My favorite perks about this card are earning 2X points on travel and dining, no foreign transaction fees, and transferring points to 13 airline and hotel partners like Hyatt, United, and Southwest.
