1. Gatte ki Sabzi:

This is one of the most famous Rajasthani dishes. This delicious curry is made with Gram Flour or Besan Gatta and served with a tangy yoghurt curry. This spicy dish is best served with Rajasthani bread or rice.

This traditional vegetable curry has attained a lot of popularity. Also, this vegetable curry is now very famous in north Indian households.

2. Daal Baati Choorma:

The daal baati choorma which you’ll find in Jaisalmer has a unique Rajasthani flavour that you won’t find anywhere else. It is one of the most popular dishes of Rajasthan and it serves as a whole meal.

In the summer season, most of the restaurants serve cool spicy buttermilk and tasty mango slices to accompany the daal baati choorma. This dish is very delicious and healthy to eat.

4. Makhania Lassi:

This buttermilk (lassi) is absolutely delicious. It is prepared with the help of dry fruits like dry cherries, cashew nuts, raisins and almonds in this rich yoghurt lassi. This lassi is heavenly, full of butter and milk. I am sure you will ask more after having this Makhania Lassi.

The buttermilk is so dense that you will need a spoon to taste it. One does not have to go far to taste this buttermilk as it can be easily found at the eateries and cafes in Jaisalmer.

5. Chane Jaisalmer Ke:

Jaisalmer’s Chane Jaisalmer Ke is a famous savoury Rajasthani dish with its origins in Jaisalmer. Black chickpeas, gramme flour, and curd (Kadi) are used to make the dish. Desi Ghee, Red chilli and Green dhania are commonly used to garnish this amazing and famous dish. It’s served with rice or roti. Jaisalmer Kala Chana Kadhi is another name for this dish.
