Normally people come and see Taj Mahal and Agra Fort but do you know about the hidden treasure of this city, so let’s find out what gems this are and is it useful or not for a visitor.

Itmad-ud-Daula – Itmad-ud-Daula is considered the first complete marble tomb in India built by Nur Jahan in the memorandum of her father Mir Gheyas Beg, she was the wife of Mughal emperor Jahangir. This mausoleum was built on the bank of river Yamuna between 1622-1628. While you enter, you will see the whole mausoleum in the middle of a beautiful garden and if you watch it from the sky it looks like a jewel box set in a garden which can astonish anyone. It is also called “Baby Taj”. There are entry charges for all nationals.

Mehtab Bagh – Mehtab Bagh is a beautiful garden where you can relax and spend time with your companion. I would recommend you to visit this place in the evening as the view of sunset across the river will give you the different sensation, also the view of the Taj Mahal from here will definitely please your eyes and heart. To enhance this majestic experience you have to pay entry charges.

Chini ka Rauza – A few people heard about the Chini ka Rauza which is a tomb built between 1628-1639 by Allama Afzal Khan. This mausoleum is not as famous as others but while I heard about it I decided to see it. Well it is not easy to find this place quickly, we took help from local people to reach there. The way to this tomb goes through narrow streets where we have to walk. This mausoleum is as big as other tombs but it needs renovation. I had a question why it did not look up to the government as it might shine like others. I really like this tomb and will definitely recommend you to visit. As of now entry is free here.

Mariam-Uz- Zamani – Mariam-Uz-Zamani is another tomb of Queen of Emperor Akbar, Mariam Begum. It was built by Jehangir, the son of Mariam. This is a beautiful and unique structure of Mughal dynasty and if you are a history lover then it is worth visiting while you are in Agra. Entry fee is applicable for all nationals.

Kalakriti – if you are in Agra and ask about it then everybody will explain you and why not as it is a very famous culture and convention center here. If you have evening free then this is the best option for you where you can watch the live show of Mohabbat-E-Taj. This show is about the Mughal dynasty and symbol of love Taj Mahal. It is chargeable for all and the seats are filling very fast so you need to book it in advance.
