The great thing about the Balkans isn’t how amazingly beautiful they are and all that culture, but how easy they are to travel through and around. You can jump from country to country and experience different sights, cuisines, and cultures from place to place.

Two countries which more and more people are choosing to visit are Albania and Podgorica.

The two countries capitals, Tirana and Podgorica, respectively, should be on your visit list.

Tirana is a fantastic spot for checking out the blend between old and new. You’ll see amazing architecture, and Skanderbeg Square is undoubtedly the city’s heartbeat. But it’s not all old stuff – you’ll find plenty of nightlife, shopping, and cuisine in Tirana too.

Podgorica is the capital of Montenegro, and it’s a stunningly beautiful city from a natural point of view. The Clock Tower is the city’s center point, with Lake Skadar National Park a must-visit while you’re in the area.

The most important thing to remember is that you’re going to be crossing a border, so you’ll need to show your passport, any visa documentation you may need from your country of origin, and your driving license and insurance, if you’re driving.
